Being in Stresa we want to see the local sites and this day we spent the day walking through Parco Pallavicino which in 1862 was purchased by the Genovese noble family Pallavicino. They expanded the estate, built carriage roads, added incredible statues and transformed a common villa to a splendid 19th-century villa that is still standing today.
In 1952, Marquise Luisa added an exceptional zoo that has animals from all over the world and in 1956 the Pallavicinos transformed their wonderful garden into a wildlife museum open to the public.
In 2017 the park became part of the Borromeo Lands and the management company made many improvements to enhance plant and animal life. The 18 hectare park takes pride in stating that "this is a place where botanical soul and the fauna live in harmony." Over 50 species of mammal and birds live on the property, and forest rangers have saved many wild animals and have found a home for them in the park.

Essendo a Stresa vogliamo vedere i siti locali e oggi abbiamo trascorso la giornata passeggiando per il Parco Pallavicino che nel 1862 fu acquistato dalla nobile famiglia genovese Pallavicino. Loro hanno ampliato la tenuta, costruito strade carrozzabili, aggiunto incredibili statue e trasformarto una villa comune in una splendida villa ottocentesca che si trova ancora oggi.
Nel 1952 la marchesa Luisa ha aggiunto uno zoo eccezionale che ospita animali da tutto il mondo. Nel 1956 i Pallavicino hanno trasformato il loro meraviglioso giardino in un museo faunistico aperto al pubblico.
Nel 2017 il parco è entrato a far parte delle Terre Borromee e la società di gestione ha apportato numerose miglioriament per elevare la vita vegetale e animale. Il parco di 18 ettari è orgoglioso di affermare che "questo è un luogo in cui l'anima botanica e la fauna convivono in armonia". Nella proprietà vivono oltre 50 specie di mammiferi e uccelli e le guardie forestali hanno salvato molti animali selvatici e hanno trovato loro una casa nel parco.

Birds are a plenty in this garden. You find them in all areas of the property. Whether it is a beautiful parrot or a black swan, they are amazing to watch and listen too. Gianni even got into a cackling match with a couple of pink flamingo's in the video below of the parks birds:
Gli uccelli sono molti in questo giardino. Li trovi in tutte le aree della proprietà. È incredibile guardare e ascoltare il bellissimo pappagallo o il cigno nero. Gianni ha anche avuto un incontro schiamazzante con un paio di fenicotteri rosa in questo video degli uccelli del parco:

There is a specially designed farm on the property that is meant for kids of all ages to experience direct contact with the animals or to play in the park. We didn't go to that section but here is more information on Recreational Areas. Here is their FaceBook page so if you decide to go there is a wealth of up to date information on it.
The other animals like deer and goats are roaming around the property and can go wherever they like, while other animals like zebra's, kangaroos, donkeys, etc. have their own designated environments. Below is a video and photos of the animals we saw:
C'è una fattoria appositamente progettata sulla proprietà che è pensata per i bambini di tutte le età per sperimentare il contatto diretto con gli animali o per giocare nel parco.
