Sometimes you just need a simple sandwich and salad because you either have been running around all day, or have been eating way too much, or just because a light meal is what is needed. Today I made the simplest of sandwiches in Italy and served it with my Insalata Verde.
Ingredients
2 - 3 soft buns
Mayonnaise (optional)
Fresh mozzarella
Thinly sliced prosciutto
Directions
Slice buns in half and lather with as much mayo you want, or if you don't like mayo put whatever dressing you want. Or leave it with nothing and enjoy the simplicity of meat and cheese
Slice up fresh mozzarella about 1/4 inch thick and lay all over bun
Top with us much prosciutto you want and place top of bun onto prosciutto. It they are longer buns, cut them in half and serve with Insalata Verde
