Caprese salad is a staple in Italy. Everywhere you go you will be served some type of version of it. I love adding olives to my version with the balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
2 beefsteak tomatoes, sliced
1 fresh mozzarella, sliced
Large pimento stuffed olives – how many you like
Olive oil
Balsamic glaze
¼ cup chopped fresh basil
Directions
Alternately lay tomato and mozzarella slices on a platter
Place as many olives all over the platter
Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze
Top with fresh basil
