Serving size - the whole family
I've been making spaghetti and meatballs since I was seven years old. There is nothing better than the smells of meatballs cooking in tomato sauce all day long. The aroma fills the house and everyone who walks in knows it will be spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. The secret to this sauce is simmering it for six to eight hours. Then longer the better!
Making the meatballs
When I make meatballs I make a whole bunch at once and then freeze them.
They are ready to take out and put into tomato sauce or chicken soup. Here is a video on how to make them.
Meatballs Ingredients
4 lb. pork
3 lb. turkey
7 eggs
2 tsp salt
6 garlic cloves minced
3/4 cup finely chopped parsley
7 cups bread crumbs
3 ½ cup parmesan cheese
Milk as needed
Directions
Mix meat together until well combined
Scramble eggs and salt
Add to meat and combine well
Add garlic, parsley, bread crumbs and parmesan cheese
Combine well
Make large balls and try to make them the same size
Make small baby meatballs for soup
Use right away by placing them in sauce you have cooking (recipe for sauce follow meatballs photos below)
For later use place meatballs on a cookie sheet and freeze until hard – 30 minutes
Take frozen meatballs and put into Ziploc bags.

Fresh basil or 1 tbsp dried basil
Lowry’s garlic salt or salt and pepper to taste

Bring heat down to a simmer and let the smell of the sauce and meatballs slowly fill the house
Stir every 5 to 10 minutes as you don’t want sauce to stick
Six hours in add Lowry’s garlic salt or salt and pepper to taste
Let simmer until pasta is cooked
Cook whatever pasta you want per the directions on package
Drain pasta and put it into a large bowl
Spoon out meatballs into a bowl
Spoon sauce over the pasta and mix well. Keep adding sauce until pasta is well coated with sauce
Add parmesan cheese and mix well
Plate pasta and top with sauce and parmesan, serve immediately
This pasta is great for leftovers
