Many of you know “HOPE” is a word I hold very dear to my heart. I (as well as my two daughters) have a tattoo of the anchor of Hope to remind us that when we are still on this side of the ground, walking in the grass we continue to have hope.
For those that follow my blog, I’m sure you’ve noticed I’ve taken a hiatus from it over the past month. Without going into details, as I need to respect my husband’s journey and privacy (and I ask everyone else does too), we are now full-time residents of Arona, Italy. Not going to lie it has been a tough journey but with our kids doing an amazing job stepping up and being there for us body and soul, family and friends rallying, and the power of positivity and prayer, life once again has purpose.
To be honest, there could have been worst places we could have had to take residency in, but Italy feels like home. It is our heritage, homeland and our roots. Being able to share this part of the world with our kids and grandkids will be absolutely wonderful. Something that may not have been possible if our journey didn’t take this detour.
One definition for “journeys” is “any course or passage from one stage or experience to another". This perfectly aligns to my new journey. Every day we make plans for our future, we are organized, we follow the path that we believe we are meant to take, but as any path, there are bumps, divots, rocks and sometimes boulders we have to avoid and the journey takes us down another road. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad road, it’s just different, and sometimes different is what grows our strength, perseverance and our passion for life.
Today I start my new journey as an Italian/Canadian Citizen who is a resident of Arona Italy, and I look forward to:

Join me on my new journey of life and don’t be afraid to start your own. Remember what is most important, live life well always by working hard but playing harder. We only have one!
Il mio prossimo viaggio inizia ora....
“SPERANZA” è una parola che tengo molto al mio cuore. Io (come le mie due figlie) ho un tatuaggio dell'ancora della Speranza per ricordarci che quando siamo ancora da questa parte del terreno, camminando nell'erba continuiamo ad avere speranza.
Se segui il mio blog, sono sicuro che avrai notato che mi sono preso una pausa nell'ultimo mese. Senza entrare nei dettagli, poiché devo rispettare il viaggio e la privacy di mio marito (e chiedo anche a tutti gli altri), ora siamo residenti ad Arona, in Italia. Non mentirò, è stato un viaggio difficile, ma con i nostri figli che stanno facendo un lavoro straordinario, la famiglia e gli amici si sono riuniti e il potere della positività e della preghiera, la vita ha di nuovo uno scopo.
Ad essere onesti, avrebbero potuto esserci i posti peggiori in cui avremmo potuto risiedere, ma l'Italia si sente come a casa. È la nostra eredità, patria e le nostre radici. Condividere questa parte del mondo con i nostri figli e nipoti sarà assolutamente meraviglioso. Qualcosa che non sarebbe stato possibile se il nostro viaggio non avesse preso questa deviazione.
Una definizione di “viaggio” è “qualsiasi corso o passaggio da una fase o esperienza ad un'altra. Questo si allinea perfettamente al mio nuovo viaggio. Ogni giorno facciamo progetti per il nostro futuro, siamo organizzati, seguiamo la strada che crediamo di dover intraprendere, ma come ogni sentiero, ci sono dossi, avvallamenti, rocce e talvolta massi che dobbiamo evitare e il viaggio ci porta giù per un'altra strada. Non significa che sia una brutta strada, è solo diversa, ea volte diverso è ciò che fa crescere la nostra forza, perseveranza e la nostra passione per la vita.
Oggi inizio il mio nuovo viaggio come cittadino italo/canadese ora residente ad Arona e non vedo l'ora di:
