A half hour drive from our cabin, Lightning Lake is located in beautiful Manning Park. This lake links to three other lakes Flash, Strike and Thunder but today we did the two hour hike around only Lightning Lake. It is classified an easy hike and I totally agree to that classification. There are a couple steeper climbs and an area where you have to climb over boulders but other than that it is fairly flat. Of course being in the forest there are also areas where there are many tree roots to be aware of when walking. We walked the route in great weather and therefore pretty sure it made for a leisurely walk. If it rains the terrain would be a bit more difficult as it could be slippery.
