Hoover Lake Trail is a 7.7 kilometre moderately trafficked out and back trail located across from the Mission landfill, British Columbia and features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and snowshoeing and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. This one has steep hills right from the get go. The first couple of kilometres are on a gravel logging road then you veer to the left on to join the overgrown well marked trail in the forest. There are lots of stumps with mushrooms growing from them and the scenery is beautiful and peaceful. As you get to the bottom of the trail you wind up at Hoover Lake. Follow the wooden path to the left and hike up some steep parts and you find yourself across from the little island in the middle of the lake. Absolutely beautiful. Pictures below.
