Gooey Stuffed Bunwich

Makes 4 Bunwich


When you want a warm sandwich try this ooey gooey stuffed bunwich. Paired with a tossed salad it is delicious.


Ingredients

4 multigrain buns

Red pepper jelly

Sliced ham

Fresh mozzarella

2 eggs

½ tsp Lowry’s garlic salt or salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup finely chopped parsley

Romano or parmesan shredded cheese


Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F and line large baking sheet with aluminum foil

  2. Make three angled cuts into the bread as shown below

  3. Spread as much red pepper jelly you like in each slice

  4. Cut ham in half and put one slice in the smaller pockets of sliced bread and two in the larger pockets

  5. Slice mozzarella about ¼ inch thick and add one piece in the smaller pockets of sliced bread and two in the larger pockets

  6. Scramble eggs and garlic salt into flat plate, add parsley and mix well

  7. Dip bun into egg mixture and using your hand ensure the bun is fully coated

  8. Place buns on baking sheet

  9. Pour the remainder egg mixture on each bun

  10. Sprinkle each bun with cheese

  11. Bake for 15 minutes, until you can see mozzarella melted

Let sit for five minutes then serve with a tossed salad
