Dog Mountain Trail is a 4.5 kilometer heavily trafficked out and back trail located near North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, and snowshoeing and is best used from June until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. This is a moderate trail as there are several steep sections that if wet can be slippery. You also need to be careful of roots and rocks. I walked on one of the bridges and the plank broke so need to be aware of rotten wood as well. It was a beautiful hike which had the payoff of a massive rock and view of Vancouver. However our view was hampered by the clouds. More on Dog Mountain Trail https://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/dog-mountain/
