Makes 80 tarts
Ingredients
6 tbsp softened butter
4 ½ cup brown sugar
6 eggs
6 tbsp dark rum
6 tsp vanilla
¾ tsp salt
1 ½ cup pecans
1 ½ cup walnuts
80 frozen tarts
Pecan halves for top
Optional you can add ½ cup of the following:
Chocolate chips
Skor bits
Butterscotch chips
M&M bits
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350˚F
Cream butter and sugar
Blend in eggs, rum, vanilla and salt and mix well
Stir in nuts
Fill shells ¾ full and top with pecan half
Bake until golden brown
If you add optional items I top the tart with a chocolate wafer to distinguish plain or enhanced version. It is good to make different types.
