Makes 20 – 24 wings
Using the same method as Baked Sweet and Sour Wings these are a whole lot less fatty because I came up with this recipe that removes the fat and skin but leave behind a lot of flavour.
Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wings
2 tbsp oil
½ tbsp garlic salt or salt and pepper to taste
1 ½ tsp corn starch
½ cup water
4 tbsp soy sauce
½ cup honey
2 tsp brown sugar
Sesame seeds
Directions
Preheat oven to 390°F
In a large saucepan, boil chicken for five minutes
Remove from heat and run cold water over the chicken
When chicken is cool enough remove most of the thick skin and all fat
Pat dry chicken with paper towel and place in large bowl and toss with oil and garlic salt
Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and place arrange chicken in single layer
Bake for 15 minutes and turn over chicken
Bake another 15 minute until they wings have browned
In a small bowl combine cornstarch and water until mixed well
In a large sauce pan add cornstarch water mixture, soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar.
Cook on high until it thickens slightly.
Turn off heat and set aside
When chicken is cooked transfer them into the sauce pan and toss until they are fully coated
Place on baking sheet and broil for a few minutes on each side
Plate and sprinkle sesame seeds
Serve immediately, wings will be sticky
